I am going to be doing the feature deviantARTISTS here soon, but I want to look through *JoyKaiba’s works more thoroughly before I do so, so I can pick my three favourite pieces in depth and maybe also give a reason in my journal for why I picked each three!

I have started to write a novel, I keep doing this every year, and I say I’ll write a novel, start writing it and get about a quarter of the way through then give up. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen this time as I’ve bypassed all the stages I go through before writing and jumped straight into it.

So far so good, as I even have a title and I’ve only been writing about three days. It’s going to be called “Till Death Do We Part.” And it’ll be the first in a series about two brothers.

The reason I say this in my journal is because if I keep giving updates on how it’s going, then hopefully it’ll inspire me to keep writing. I mean I have what’ll happen all planned out and I can’t wait to get to that last chapter as it’s going to be the most thrilling I do think. The novel is going to be in the horror/supernatural genre.

I found the novel I started writing just before Christmas last year, and if I get back into it then I shall continue it, cause I am thousands of words into it – that one is called “Two Months” and it means a lot to me for personal reasons. Not that anything in it happened to me, it was based on a role-play I once did, the main character in two months is also who one of the brothers in Till Death Do We Part is based on.

I reinvent characters willy-nilly in my stories. I guess I just like to do so. Keeps me on my toes also because I love to see how far I can stretch the same character into stretching into different ones.

If anyone is interesting in reading the opening of my new novel then comment because I will note them with the opening, I’m always open for reading what people think of my work – I know if I give this to my mother to read, I’m not sure what she’d think – but she always wants to read what I write. She’s weird that way. She definitely wouldn’t like two months though!

You should have seen her face when I said it started with a suicide and ends with one. She thinks I’m ill and need to see someone… oh well, I like the story – I cried a hundred times reading the opening. I’m thinking I’ll write both and see how they turn out! Never know one of them might be heading to a bookshelf near you!
